If you are an online-shopaholic, this is the site for you! Shopswell is a site where you can create shopping lists and view other people's lists. You can even track the price of items in your list and get an alert when the price drops!
You can also follow users with similar interests and discover products you may not have known about otherwise. Shopswell's content is user generated and they reward users who contribute to the community!
I found out about Shopswell on reddit, and it sounded like it would be a really fun way to earn some extra cash! I gave it a try and really enjoyed it! I am sure many of you can relate, with a lot of methods of earning money online, it is very easy to get burned out. But, my experience with Shopswell was very laid back, relaxing, and I actually had fun making lists! Read on to learn more about how you can make money with Shopswell!
How to use Shopswell
There are two ways to earn on Shopswell:
1. Creating shopping lists, reviewing, and commenting on the products.
2. Sharing your lists and inviting other people to join Shopswell
To create a new list, click your username in the top right corner and click the Your Lists button. Then give it a name, description, and category. You can also decide whether you want the list to be public or private.
In order to get ideas for lists, I like to think about things that I am interested in or would like to learn more about. I like cats so a lot of my lists revolve around cats like cat toys, cat jewelry, and gifts for a cat lover. This keeps it fun and you're more likely to make a quality list when you are actually interested in the topic.
Once you have decided on a topic and created your list, you can click the edit button to change the default background image. You don't have to do this, just some of the default backgrounds may not be that fitting for your list.
Now you can start adding products! To add a product, click the + sign in the top right corner. You can find the product by entering the name or pasting a link to the product. I find it easy to have 2 browser windows side by side when doing this, one with Shopswell and one for searching products.

Anyways, after you have added a product, you can click the product in your list and track its price by clicking the Track at this Price link next to the usual price. I adore this feature of the site, and it is great for those items you keep in your wishlist but just wish they were a liiiiiittle cheaper. You can also comment on, review, and share the item while you're in this page.
While you are creating and sharing your lists, you earn points. There are two weekly leaderboards, one for creating, and one for sharing. Shopswell divides $2500 each week and awards it based on position in the leaderboards for the two categories. At the end of the week your earnings are "booked" and the leaderboard clears so everyone has a fair chance at earning.
How to Redeem Your Earnings
"Payments are mailed within 31 days of the close of the calendar month. So, for example, if payments are earned in September, the respective earnings will be mailed on or no later than October 31st."
So, it takes a little while for the payouts, but it can definitely become a steady earner if you contribute each week.
You can choose to redeem your payout by a gift card, check, or donate to charity.

Is Shopswell Worth Using?
Yes! Shopswell is actually tons of fun and a breath of fresh air compared to other online money making sites! The rewards you get seem to be worth the time spent making lists. Your lists will also continue to generate income over time as people comment, share, and make purchases! I have received two checks so far from Shopswell, and one was from a month when I didn't even log in! But, after receiving the checks and seeing that they really do pay, I am back into it and really enjoying using the site.
